Project

AAC

AAC, or Anti-Atelo-Chit, is the first multifunctional, multilayer medical dressing designed to accelerate wound healing with broad antimicrobial activity, intended for use in both military and civilian settings.

Project Goal

The developed AAC dressing will be the first multifunctional, multilayer medical dressing based on atelocollagen and modified chitosan, accelerating wound healing with broad antimicrobial activity by combining it with octenidine or chlorhexidine. AAC will be designed especially for the rapid treatment of wounds occurring in combat situations or other life-threatening scenarios, including civilian settings.

Project Assumptions

The purpose of the medical dressing developed as part of the project will not only be to physically protect the wound but also to accelerate its healing, while reducing scarring and addressing wounds requiring urgent treatment, particularly in challenging environmental conditions such as accidents, military exercises, direct military operations, whether in peacekeeping or combat missions. The medical product developed as a result of the project will be unique on the Polish and European markets, designed specifically for military and civilian populations.
